You are correct, the necessary changes will have to come from the bottom up. Unfortunately, I think it's too late to have any effect.

The 1% have a strangle hold on the populace. They own the major media propaganda outlets, control the military, police and the three branches of government. Now they are in the process of further consolidating the economic sectors to gain even more control. We are seeing this all around us and it is inescapable.

For all our sakes, I hope I'm wrong.

I hope you are wrong too. If we cannot correct this, we are headed into an abyss that is trending in a very oppressive direction.

I believe we can change this. It does not require a lot of people to take action if they do it in an organized and focused fashion. The majority would need to support it just like they support initiatives such as climate action, taxing the rich, a minimum wage, better education, etc. So, a few organized people taking action can create massive overall public support. And that has the power to change everything. That would be the path. More to come on this in the near future as it is a work-in-progress. Keep the hope, Bill. (the alternative guarantees a bad outcome)

Thank you for your comment but - in honesty - it is not relevant to the post so I am unable to add a meaningful response to it.
