The 1% believes they can take over our democratic institutions and decide our futures. They do not have the authority.
The 1% believes they are entitled to exploit all of us in their endless - and impossible - pursuit of infinite capital growth. They do not have the authority.
The 1% believes they can decide our futures and dictate the terms of our societies, our communities, and our lives. They do not have the authority.
The 1% has one problem: 1% does not represent a majority. They believe we are just going to let them get away with it. We can say “no”. The 1% knows that the authority rests with the majority, because democracy works under the rule of the majority. They are literally attempting to steal democracy from us because they know it is the one power of authority that we have to stop their theft-in-progress dead in its tracks.
They have certainly severely crippled our democracies. We have sat back and allowed them to get to this point. And - rest assured - they need to completely remove democracy and its powers from us permanently. They are actively pursuing that end.
But democracy is still alive. It is in critical care condition but we can cure it. The cure requires us to unite together and assert our authority and its power. The cure is our accepting our civic responsibilty. That is all we have to do - and we can remove the 1% from their unauthorized position and set our socieities, our communities, and lives in the direction we all want.
We have to unify together. We cannot just sit back and wait for someone to chart us in the right direction. It is us - each of us - that has to act. We have to rise together to fire-up our democracy and embrace its powers and authority. We can do that. And we must.
There are enough of us to do this! I am absolutely convinced. In my recent engagements with people (both in-person and on-line) I am encouraged that almost all are aware of the failures and corruption of our current institutional ‘leaders’. Almost all see us heading down a path of absolute devastation.
There absolutely is enough of us. We know what is happening. The awareness is there. We just have to unite into one voice - which means accepting our civic responsibility. We have to embrace each of us with the common issues we all share. We have to reject those few issues that divide us. We have to respectfully embrace each other to fire up the powers of democracy to chart out futures. There is enough of us to do this.
Let’s do it.
We have four things we can do today:
Subscribe to our Substack. We set this up for all of us. It is yours and everyone’s. It is free and simple. It is set up as a starting place for us to unite our voices. To communicate with each other and to chart our course forward for the societies, communities, and lives we all want. These posts will keep us all informed and they provide comment sections to add your voices to them. Get involved and add your voice. Subscribe now.
You can also contribute posts and essays. Just reach out with your post ideas. All voices that unify us are welcome.
We will develop new more robust communication platforms. However, this Substack presence is a good starting point.
Pre-order the book. I am a writer - it is the one thing that I can best contribute. The book is to be completed by the end of June and I require support to get it completed and printed. It is a general blueprint to embrace both our political democracy and our labour democracy to give us the ability to self-determine our futures.
This is optional, but your support is helpful and greatly appreciated. Support above what is required will go towards funding our movement. And we will need it. Details are on the Indiegogo campaign page:

Share our actions. The more we grow our base - the more we feed the cure our democracies need to restore them back to health, to expunge the 1% from their unauthorized presence in our democratic institutions, and the more power we have to chart our futures.
Keep reading, sharing, and commenting on these posts. There are things we can do quickly to support the actions others are already taking on our behalf. We will take efforts to amplify and support those on the front lines - and to move them all towards a common direction that includes us all. It is time to put all of us together.
Above all, please be respectful of everyone’s differences. Always. We each have our own personal levels of comfort in how we engage. Some are comfortable going on the front lines - protesting and even engaging in civil disobedience. Some are comfortable merely providing quiet moral support. Most of us have personal comfort levels somewhere in-between. We embrace everyone. We need us all because we are here to win this.
Democracy requires civil engagement to function. That is the life force of democracy. Many of us have been guilty of just sitting back waiting for someone else to solve our problems. That is not how democracy works - it requires us all to participate. Who is going to lead us to the futures we all want? Look in the mirror. It is you. It is me. It is all of us. It is our silence and complacency that allows it to be stolen from us. Let’s not let the 1% take it. Every voice fires-up the power of democracy. We all have to go together. All of us.
Subscribe, share, comment. It is rally time! The voices we need are there - and it includes your voice. It is time to unite as the 99% - it is time to remove the 1% and the direction they are taking us - it is time for us to decide our futures.
Democracy gives us the power and the authority. Let’s embrace it. We go together.
Hai guys.
