Who will win the 2024 US Presidential election?
Who cares? The 1% will win it no matter which box on the ballot people select. I know it. You know it. We all know it.
It will be one helluva show of course. The corporate media will stoke it continuously - they are even starting now. There are profits to be made, and they know their ratings will drive those profits. They are going to milk it for all it’s worth. They already have the script written.
It will be a contest between two political parties that will present a Red candidate who represents the interests of the corporate elites and a Blue candidate who represents the interests of the corporate elites. The corporate elites will provide two colourful choices for people to choose between and vote for. They will even call it a ‘choice’.
The corporate elites already have it all arranged and lined up for us. Sure, they might not have picked their exact candidates yet, but they are working on the Primary schedule now.
They are going to place their favourites into the primary races.
They are going to throw infinite amounts of money into the process to convince voters to check the box for their candidate (either the red one or the blue one). How do we know this? They will donate to them both. This is such an obvious ploy. They will give a $billion to the blue one; give a $billion to the red one. Either way, they win. Easy peasy.
They are prepared for some candidates that may appear to contest the primaries and try to defeat their chosen candidates. So they are preparing their strategies as to how they will manipulate and rig the system to come down to the final two they have selected for the general election.
They are coming up with a list of promises to ensure that you can justify voting for one of their candidates. Of course, they will make these promises with the cover required to ensure they will not be acted upon after they get your votes.
They are going to give their pundits and news commentators their talking point scripts - so that everyone is aligned to ensure the outcome is their choice whether it ends up to be the red or blue choice.
Third party and independent candidates will be pushed away and ignored - as if they do not even exist. No invitations to debates. No media coverage. Rules will be created to exclude their voices. They do not even exist. Nothing to see there, folks.
They will stoke divisions and fear. They will offer up the candidate’s character, and vilify the other candidate’s character. They will avoid the substance of policy and platform issues. They will use name-calling and create divisions that appear stark, absolute and outright frightening. They will make sure each side appears scarier than the other side.
They will stoke so much fear about one candidate that we will be implored to vote for one to avoid the other one winning. We will be told that this will be the most important election in our lifetime. We absolutely must show up and vote. Good grief, man! Democracy is at stake!!!!
They will have the media focus on the game and keep us focused on the show. Who is winning in this poll and that poll? Who is making inroads against the other candidate? Who is making inroads across demographic groups - young voters, old voters, women, men, the Black community, the Hispanic community, the white community, the suburbs, the fly-over states, the dog-owners, the left-handed people, the broccoli lovers, or the middle class? They will create an endless 24/7 media frenzy over who is positioned to win over the other.
The noise will be endless. The fury and rage over the bad candidate will be stoked. The importance of getting out the vote will be paramount.
The debates will be held as must-see events and we will look for sound-bites that focus on those “gotcha” moments. Those moments will then feed the media reports for weeks until the next debate. The moderators will ensure that no difficult policy questions are asked.
Lawn signs will be everywhere. Radio and television will have endless shock ads. Politicians from the past will be called out for their input. We will see Hillary Clinton put in her two-cents worth at selected intervals.
It will be the political race of the century. It will be the most important election of our lifetimes.
And on election day, we will go and vote. We will be told that turnout is important. We will be told that those that do not vote are bad citizens.
We will then watch the results come in. And - the noise of the election reality show will fade into silence; with only a few more media burps of post-election analysis. It will be over and we will have a President for the next four-years.
The entire show is scripted. The winner is already determined. The election is already over. The 1% got their President.
We already know who is going to win in 2024. The 1% is going to win.
Get ready for the circus. It is coming to town shortly - a 2-year extravaganza event. A 2-year reality show.
Are our elections rigged? Of course they are! The winner has already won. Just like every other election in the past 50-years. The 2024 US Presidential election is already over. Your vote has already been made meaningless. You are given a choice between losing and losing. But you get to choose the color.
Of course it’s rigged.
Enjoy the show. It is going to be an extravaganza event and it is going to consume your attention for the next 2-years. But, it is just a show. We already lost.
It does not have to be this way. We can take democracy back because we own it. But - it has a condition it places on us so that it works for us: We have to take on the civic responsibity it requires.
Election cycles and political parties are not where we have to focus on. Those are already rigged by the 1% who are taking our democratic power from us. A circus show every two years gives it to them. We have to focus on showing up at local town halls in every community - every district. Then, we assume our political authority and we can determine how our lives, our communities, and our society goes. Subscribe (it is free) and we will move ourselves forward. 2023 is our year to take our democratic authority. Because the majority rule. We are not 1%, we are 99%.
Your comments are welcome and will be read and responded to. We have to do this together. That is the only way democratic power comes to us.
You are correct, the necessary changes will have to come from the bottom up. Unfortunately, I think it's too late to have any effect.
The 1% have a strangle hold on the populace. They own the major media propaganda outlets, control the military, police and the three branches of government. Now they are in the process of further consolidating the economic sectors to gain even more control. We are seeing this all around us and it is inescapable.
For all our sakes, I hope I'm wrong.
